I've got something to tell you!!

A black car screeches to a halt a few feet from where we're walking on hastings, and as the window rolls down I vaguely recognize the girl shouting excitedly at us, "Pat, Vicki, I've got something to tell you!" She gets out and runs over for a hug, "I'm in detox!" I know this girl but she looks sso different, so healthy and clean. So good! I dont' want her to know that I can't figure out who she is so I just keep telling her how great she looks and how proud we are of her. She beams from ear to ear. We tell her to call if there's anything we can do. She keeps saying, "Thak you guys". We give her the precious candy bag, hug her and say good-bye. Pat and I walk 20 feet smiling in silence. Suddenly it dawns on us and we turn to each other and say, "Miki! Wow! Does she ever look different!" Two months ago Tony and Madelaine brought Miki back to our place for a sandwich, tea and a prayer. Thank You, Jesus! We know you always hear!
