Baby in the Bag
“What that little baby doing in the bag?” One of the working
girls asked me on a Monday night. In our bags we carry a small representation
of a fetus, in order to remind the girls that the child inside them
(if they are pregnant) is perfectly formed, from God, and is already
loved and cherished by Him. I hesitated for a second, selfishly not
wanting to have a pro-choice confrontation from the woman. When I
told her anyway, she told me her little baby was in the hospital right
now. The little baby “Hope Michaela” was only three pounds
when born. She asked me to pray for her little girl and herself so
that they could go home, to Vancouver Island.
