Tuesday Morning Breakfasts at Agape House
Special thanks go out to our friend from Denmark, a great admirer of the work of the Agape Street Ministry for the donation of a George Foreman Griddle. Now we are able to offer the women a hot breakfast and we hope they are looking forward to a more interesting and satisfying cooked meal every Tuesday.
In October, we were able to share a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner which the women really appreciated.
The Christmas Breakfast Party for the women in December was also a great success. There was a constant flow of women in and out of Agape House with an overwhelming attendance of 6o women who came to celebrate Christmas. The 11 volunteers were quite busy with all the hustle and bustle of the morning. The women really enjoyed the turkey dinner and were very grateful and there were a lot of Merry Christmas wishes shared by all. Each of the women was delighted with the gifts that were so preciously prepared for them. We want to thank all those who came to assist and all those who so carefully and lovingly prepared the Christmas Gifts for the women.
The New Year presents us with an exciting challenge and opportunity. As another year fades into memory and we stand on the brink of a new beginning, I ask myself "what can I do this year to improve the Working Women's Weekly Breakfast?” Last year God showed us he wanted this Tuesday morning breakfast to continue – in spite of the drastic reduction of volunteers from 8 to only 1 in a very short period. We persevered and God has send several new and committed helpers who arrive like clock work on Tuesday morning to insure that the women’s breakfast is attended to. We thank you Lord Jesus for your faithfulness and goodness and look forward to another year of Tuesday Morning Breakfasts.
Theresa.

“If there wasn’t so many good people watching over us girls we probably would suffer more. Love, LCB”
“You people are incredible, through sleet, snow, rain and all other weather you are out on the street for us. I see it with my own eyes how much you do and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Merry Christmas, forever Charlene.”
